IN THE HEIGHTS tells the story of a vibrant community in Manhattan's Washington Heights - a place where the coffee from the corner bodega is light and sweet, the windows are always open, and the breeze carries the rhythm of three generations of music. It's a community on the brink of change, full of hopes, dreams and pressures, where the biggest struggles can be deciding which traditions you take with you, and which ones you leave behind.

Propelled by the rhythms of hip hop and Latin music - uncommon sounds in musical theater - IN THE HEIGHTS' invigorating beat belies a musical steeped in Broadway tradition.

IN THE HEIGHTS follows a close-knit community of hard-working Latino immigrants as they strive for a better life; search for love; dream the American Dream; and create a haven, a home, in northernmost Manhattan.

The 2008 Tony Award-winning Best Musical IN THE HEIGHTS won the 2008 Grammy Award for Best Original Cast Album, and is also the winner of four 2008 Tony Awards including Best Musical.
